Meet your farmers

We are Jess & Connor, two recent transplants to Vermont from Maryland.
We fell in love with food and farming while studying at college and haven't looked back.

We've been wanting to make our vacations in Vermont more permanent, so last winter we moved to Hinesburg, Vermont to start the search for our farm property.

In July 2022, we moved onto the farm we've been dreaming about since our first date!
food and farming bring us great joy and we are excited to share what we grow here with you.

After studying Anthropology and Sociology at Green Mountain College, Jess traveled, taught, and learned a lot about growing food.

She's worked/volunteered on over 10 different organic vegetable and flower farms for the past 11 years including Full Cellar Farm, Siena Farms, Pakaraka Permaculture, Singing Frogs Farm, Unity Farm, and more.

Here, she is lead plant lady (indoors and out) and harvest supervisor. She makes sure that everything that leaves this farm is clean, inspiring, and beautiful.

In the slow season, she is learning to weave on a 4-shaft loom. She loves to grow flowers, spend time with the sheep, and find new ways to live more simply and sustainably.

Her favorite veggies to grow are purple top turnips!

Connor fell in love with organic growing while getting a degree in International Relations at the University of San Diego. He realized that small-scale sustainable food production was a viable solution to so many of the global issues he was studying in class.

After training at Wild Willow Farm and Education center, he moved back to Maryland and started working on organic farms.

On the farm, Connor is the compost crafter, worm shepherd, and crop planner. He enjoys mowing with a scythe and dreaming of ways to improve the soil.

Outside of farming you can find him baking sourdough treats, wandering in the woods, or riding his bicycle.

His favorite vegetables to grow are beets!
